Tunya Campbell-Palmer, the ex-wife of dancehall deejay Christopher Palmer, aka Mr Lex or Lexxus, has given birth to a baby boy for incarcerated deejay, Busy Signal.
Tussan, as she is called, is overjoyed at the birth of her son, having suffered a miscarriage in 2010 that left her devastated. That would have been her first child, and Busy Signal’s umpteenth.
At the time, despite her grief, she stated that Busy was “very supportive and just as distressed as she was at the miscarriage”.
In a dramaitic twist of events, a few weeks before Tussan was due to give birth, Busy Signal was arrested in London, sent back to Jamaica where he was picked up at the airport by police and then extradited to the United States to answer to charges of absconding bail.
Friends and family of Tussan, who was by then in Canada, feared that the shocking news would have sent her into pre-mature labour.
However, the former Miss Jamaica Petite showed strength and is now enjoying being a mother to son Eghpt-Knight Gordon.
“I’m looking at my son, and i can’t believe im a mom, i kept asking God what did i do to deserve this blessing, this is what life is about, all my 32 yrs of life doesn’t matter till right now… Egypt-Knight Gordon welcome to the world baby!!!!!!!,” Tunya wrote on her Facebook wall.
Busy Signal, who is the father to several girls by different mothers, was reportedly quite excited that Tussan was having a boy, He was caught up in a baby mama drama in 2009, when Shantal, the mother of one of his daughters, tried to get child support by going public with accusations of him denying her child. Bust’s defence was that he was not sure the child was his. Shantal is the sister of Rosie Chin, who has a baby for Big Ship artiste, Chino McGregor.
Unfortunately Busy has not yet held his son as he is currently behind bars in the United States where he pleaded guilty to a charge of absconding bail, stemming from an incident 10 years ago.
