Shango Jackson murder accused, Huey Gowdie, appears in court

Huey Gowdie the man charged for the murder of popular Operations Manager of Sparkles Production, Shango Jackson, made his first appearance in the Gun Court Division of the Corporate Area Criminal Court Wednesday morning.
Gowdie, 38-year-old, is a director of Events2Events and a former student of Kingston College. He has been charged with murder and illegal possession of a firearm.
He was arrested following an incident at Shango’s Shenstone Drive, Beverly Hills home on July 12.
When the matter came up the Court was told that the defence had not yet received copies of the statements, therefore a new mention date of July 26 was set.
Reports are that Shango had gone to his home where his estranged wife, Annette, also resides. It’s understood that shortly after his arrival an argument development between Shango and a man who was at the house. A call was made and Gowdie subsequently turned up at the Shenstone Drive residence.
During another argument Gowdie reportedly hit Shango three times in the face.
Gowdie then allegedly pulled a firearm and shot Shango twice in the thigh and once in the left shoulder.
Frantic neighbours rushed to Shango’s assistance.
He was taken to hospital and pronounced dead. Meanwhile, the service to celebrate the life of Shango Jackson takes place at the Stella Maris Church on Friday at 1:00 pm.
