Opposition Spokesman on Energy, Gregory Mair is again calling for an audit of the Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica (Petrojam).
The latest call follows news that Petrojam overcharged the Independent Power Producer, Jamaica Private Power Company, for the price of fuel used to generate electricity over an extended period.
Mair believes the latest development is reason enough for an independent audit of the contract between Petrojam and the JPS.
He said the results of that audit must then be tabled in the Parliament.
Mair is also raising concern about the Price Mechanism used by Petrojam.
