Olympic 100 and 200 m silver medallist, Yohan Blake, on Tuesday sent birthday wishes to his coach, Glen Mills on August 14,bigging up the big man on his Facebook page.
“Prayer works because God made you, the greatest coach in the world, my coach. So it is my prayer, today on your birthday, that he will grant you continued life and life abundantly.
Happy birthday Mr. Mills…coach, teacher and hero to us all!”

1.He was the head coach of the Jamaican Olympic athletics team between 1987 and 2009.
2.He is currently head coach of the Racers Track Club.
3.Coach Mills is behind the success of popular Jamaican sprinters such as Usain Bolt, Yohan Blake, Warren Weir and Rosemarie Whyte.
4.Glen joined Camperdown High School’s sprinting team at age 13.
5.After a year, Glen gave up his dreams of becoming a track star but still pursued his passion for the sport eventually becoming part of the coaching staff of Camperdown’s track team.
6.Glen has a diploma from the International Olympic Committee training centre in Mexico and a qualification in High-Level Sprint Tech training at the IAAF Training Centre in Puerto Rico.
7.Mills became Usain’s coach in late 2004.
8.Mills stepped down as the Olympic Jamaican athletics coach in late 2009, having overseen athletes to 71 world championships and 33 Olympic medals in his 22 years in the role.
9.Mills received the NACAC coach of the year award in 2008.
